To: ham-digital@ucsd.edu I second the comments on PC-DSP, about 30 bucks. There's a new book by the same author, probably superceding it. OP-AMP books in LA gave me great service on my copy. I also recommend the TI 'c26 DSK module - a TMS320C26, their analog interface chip, with a spot for an input phono plug and output of same, for audio; an rs232 port to talk to your pc, and a 9vac connector for power. Great utilities with it. Loook also for W9GR's code and otehr programs which have been p;orted by Johan Ferrer to teh DSK. Oops. Must be all those years of cooking tomato sauces in aluminum pots. Hmmm. I guess I did the currency conversion twice. Yes, that is much more reasonable, and I'll make your day again soon when my money order arrives! By way of endorsement, I think this one is a "keeper". 73 de Ed Leslie VE3ZVZ P.S. The *nicest* feature is the scrollback capability -- given 1200bps data speed, and slow half duplex switchover. Saves *a lot* of message re-reading. Given a large received data buffer, you can turn off paging on the BBS, and scan the entire message list as fast as the modem will go, then scroll back to read what you couldn't follow as it came in. *NICE* ------------------------------ End of Ham-Digital Digest V94 #34 ******************************
